Introduction
T&V Controls (T&V
stands for Tanis and Verouden) is active in the field of engineering, drawing,
control cabinet building and automation in the process industry. This allows us
to deliver turn-key projects, commission, do maintenance and give after sales
service both national and international. One, several or all of the afore
mentioned activities can be used by our customers. Our mission is to be flexible,
supportive and cooperative. Custom built sollutions are no problem. There is a
sollution for every problem.
Engineering/Drawing
During pre-calculation we use
detailed-engineering giving us a very complete calculation. The software used
is built in such a way that quotations can be made quickly. The calculation
software is linked to the software used for drawing electrical schematics. If
an order is given the calculation can be quickly translated into drawings. This
saves time and money. We use Caddy++ professional. A database oriented drawing
and engineering tool similar to E-plan. Schematics can be send to us in
virtually any format. The drawing include componentslists, cablelists and
terminallists.
Control Cabinets
The building of control
cabinets is done in our own workshop. Customer specifications are the
startingpoint and the latest standards for the country the cabinet will be
placed in are used. After the cabinet is build the software is downloaded and
the system is tested. Cabinets can be made in all shapes, sizes and colours and
are supplied with all relevant documentation of the components used inside the
cabinet. From small panels used on the factory floor to big control cabinets
with their own cooling system can be build. Because of frequent use of variable
speed drives we pay special attention to EMC (electro magnetic compatibility).
Pneumatics in the form of valveblocks connected to I/O modules or a bus-system
is common practice for us and can be integrated in the main control cabinet or
in a stand alone cabinet.
Software
In most cases a PLC will be
the heart of the control system. We have ample experience with Allen-Bradley,
Siemens S5 or S7, Moeller, Mitsubishi and Hitachi. For data exchange we have used the following protocols: Profibus,
DeviceNet, DataHighway+, ASI-bus, ethernet, Siemens MPI and serial
communication. For visualization we have used HMI’s by CTC Parker, Exor,
Siemens OP, Mitsubishi MAC and for SCADA we have used Wonderware’s InTouch,
Winview, RSView and Wizcon. To reach an optimal software sollution we stay in
close contact with our customers and together with a P&ID and functional
description of the process reache our common objective. Links to control
systems on a higher level are no problem. Servicing the system can be done on
site or remote via modem.
